Metaphysical Crystal Formations

This is my favorite legend, largely due to years of gathering tidbits of information and weaving them into the story I share today.   Many thanks to those who have shared what they know and thus added to this fascinating story!   It could apply to any legend of recorded knowledge passed to man from a higher power.

Jewish tradition says that Moshea (the oldest name that I have come across for Moses) was given the 10 Commandments on tablets of SAPPHIRE.   Can you imagine?!   Which resulted in Sapphire becoming one of the most sacred of gemstones.   Well, Moshea got angry and smashed the tablets.   Sapphire is a corundum, second in hardness to diamond...and I kept wondering just how he smashed the second hardest stone.   Then I got my first Sapphire rough from Africa and it was crystalized in Mica, a very soft material..leading me to theorize that smashing rough tablets was indeed possible.   So how would he replace those tablets?   That brings me to the first, obscure legend I encountered saying Moshea carved the 10 Commandments in Lapis.   Since Moshea had studied alchemy with the Egyptians, he knew about stone properties and selected the most readily available, highly valuable, yet carvable replacement in order to recreate the tablets.   Lapis was revered by Egyptians and is still available today in the Middle Eastern areas.   Again, imagine how gorgeous these must have been!   Now, some believe that Lapis was called Sapphire by the ancients...if I figure out what they called Sapphire, I'll let you know!

My Sapphire rough contained "recordkeepers," or raised triangles that represent sacred wisdom.   Most lore regarding them refer to being used by the Antidiluveans (Atlantis, Lemuria, etc.) to store & safeguard their knowledge for future generations.   So, I began to ponder whether a "higher power" would actually provide knowledge written in a human language, OR provide the knowledge in the most direct & pure way possible, and yet still be recorded for future reference...using recordkeepers so that only the very pure/evolved could access the stored information.   Wow!   So, Moshea had direct access to download this sacred knowledge...profound, complete access to the whole of higher consciousness...and he smashed it.   Maybe he hadn't even finished accessing the knowledge...it would seem that transfer could be instantaneous, or, more likely, unfold like a lotus flower...   Then he had to try and remember what he'd learned and translate it to into a limited, clumsy, human language, weighted with the baggage of his own life experience...   Talk about food for thought...   Imagine what we might have known!

Many stones are heat treated to bring out color. I debated for some time about this, as I make every effort to use natural stones.  Since stones are also heated in nature to achieve those colors, I've decided that I will use them when I cannot obtain a more natural form.  Some purists will object to how this affects the energy of a particular stone; I will always reveal as much as I know about the materials I have used.  I believe that the energy of a stone is strongly affected by the energy directed at it and that a smudging session and continued focus will have the desired result.
